Lucy Wilding completed her undergraduate degree at Cambridge University and graduated from St Mary’s Hospital medical school in 1996. Her subspecialist training in symptomatic breast radiology began at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in 2000, working with Dr McWilliams, Dr Jones and Dr Wilson. Since this time, she has acquired wide ranging experience in mammography, ultrasound and MRI reporting, as well as image guided localisation and biopsy - including stereotactic and vacuum assisted biopsy techniques. Her training in breast screening was completed at St George’s Hospital in London (part of the National Health Service Breast Screening Programme).

Dr Wilding joined the GMC Specialist Register in 2007 and currently works as a consultant general radiologist with a special interest in breast imaging at West Middlesex University Hospital in London, where she is the clinical tutor. Her interest in education and training includes multiple educational exhibits and presentations at regional and national meetings, as well as recent involvement in the question setting for Royal College of Radiologist postgraduate examinations.  Dr Wilding is an FRCR Final examiner.

Dr Wilding's recent publications include work on breast MRI, benign breast disease, breast imaging with CT and the use of MacrolaneTM in breast augmentation.
